Music is the great connector, isn’t it? The movie adaptation is flawed, but it was a worthy attempt. In high school, I seldom listened to rock. I was into jazz and soul music. Overhearing my older brother listening to “Physical Graffiti” definitely stoked my interest in rock, though. Hearing the Doors featured in the “Apocalypse Now” soundtrack was also formative. It wasn’t until I graduated from high school that my real rock education began.
