Fun list, thank you! I nominate Wang Chung's "To Live and Die in L.A." (from the movie) as a quintessential 1985 song. I was going to nominate David & David's "Welcome to the Boomtown," but it looks like that one was released in 1986. I'd put "Boomtown" on a best of the decade.
